During my 35 working years, I always had an office. And it usually had a window, which I enjoyed more for the “natural” light rather than to gaze out of since the outside scenery was not that appealing.
While cubicles may be today’s office BORG (“You will labor in a cube… resistance is futile!”), it’s nice to know that some folks do not work in just an “office” but in an…”environment.”
Below is a link to the “environements” of twelve companies which have embraced a different concept of “office space.” Some of these companies are well known, such as Google, Facebook and Nokia. My favorite is a company I’d not heard of before – InventionLand Design Factory, whose environment reflects its name.
